About
Angelica Leon holds a Bachelors degree in Textile Design from the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. She grew up in Bogota and lived in London for eight years until 2008. These days she is based in Oslo and continues to develop her practice in Scandinavia and the UK.
Her aim is to develop beautiful and functional designs through innovative use of traditional techniques, based on the principle that designers have a duty to promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices through their work; and that good design should be accessible to everyone.
Aside from working in textile design, Angelica has also gained experience working for the Head of Scenic Painting at the Royal National Theatre in London. At the National University of Colombia, she studied Classical Philology.
